I don't know if I'm overthinking this too much. I'd appreciate some feedback. Ortho attempted closed reduction with perc pinning, but was unable to get the fracture to reduce and felt a periosteum was entrapped in the site. At his point, he made an incision, dissected to the medial malleolus, removed the entrapped periosteum from the site, and performed an open reduction. He then proceeded to place the K-wires through the fracture and skin and closed the incision site. I believe I would simply code 27766, the perc pinning would be included.

Thoughts?
