We have a mom who came in to our pedi office to discuss her child who is autistic....dr spent 1 hour with mom discssing issues strategies etc for child. How would this be billed?
 
Use should use the new or established codes, 99201 - 99215. They are for face to face with patient and/or family. The documentation must state why the patient could not be present.
