Let me start from the begining. Does the order in which the cpt codes are listed on the claim matter for reimbursment??? Just wondering. :cool:

Highest RVU first

If there is a difference in RVU then, yes, the order does matter. List the highest RVU first so that it is paid at full rate and any multiple surgery discount is taken on a lesser RVU service.

.... if the dr is going in to more then one extra third order how many times can you bill the add on code 36248????
 
I believe you can bill the 36218, 36248 codes an "infinite" amount of times.

That is what I was told by Jim Collins at a seminar I went to his a few years back. Think of the number "8" sideways and it is the infinity symbol.
