The orthopedic and pain management clinic that I work for recently added a podiatrist on staff. I was given the responsibility of coding and billing for this new physician. I must admit that the Medicare medical policy is very confusing, but I am doing my best. I still do not feel comfortable coding for this physician when he provides routine foot care and procedures to diabetic patients. Does anyone know where I can find help, a seminar, or training specifically for podiatry?
