Does anybody have any suggestions on how to bill for Pre-Surgery Physicals.

You may find a compatible V code between V47-V49. You cannot bill a V20.2. When I managed a pediatric practice, we would do these for our patients and use the diagnosis code for whatever surgical procedure was coming up and then bill a 99214, depending on documentation.

Coding an E/M visit with Dx V70.3 will not work. Use CPT 99242 Office consultation for a new or est. pt which requires these 3 components *expanded problem focused hx, *expanded problem focused exam and *straightforward medical decision making with Dx V70.4 with documentation explaining the encounter, is the right choice...see the AAP coding guidelines.
Good Luck!
