Can our IM guy code his preop clearances as consults? They are coming in as referrals from specialists and he is reporting back his results.
Any help would be appreciated!
 
Yes, IM Doc can bill as a consult but he has to also be a participate with the insurance co ( most commercials) as a IM NOT a Specialist.
