Wiki Preventative newborn hearing screenings

I work for a Neonatal group and we perform all newborn hearing screenings while babies are still inpatient as part of the Preventative services measure. We have been using cpt 92558 with icd v72.19. We are having difficulties with private payers and coding guidlines. Can anyone advise what would be the correct coding for babies that do not have a hearing impairment and pass test.?????

The V72.19 is the correct code for the screening for hearing the problem is the cpt code you used. According to the CPT book 92558 is out of numerical sequence. See cpt codes 92550-92597.
