Wiki question about followup vt

I have q question, we have some OD'S that want to check in on their VT patients. They want to use a 99212 of course meeting the requirements. They want to check their patients and assess whether their symptoms are better or worse and adjusting their therapy activities and indicated by the virtual visit. Does this sound okay

I assume you're speaking about Visual Therapy patients. I would think that this would work OK with telemedicine visit. Do insurance carriers in your area pay for VT or are these out of pocket services for the patients to pay? If the patients have to pay for these services, I wonder if their insurance would pay for the telemedicine visits with the appropriate VT related diagnosis codes. If not, then I would have the patients pay and not risk billing for those services to insurance.
If insurance does cover them, then go ahead.
