Good Morning,

I have a physician that is looking for any info you may have that will help her understand E&M Coding and choosing the levels. I purchased a slide and she said it does not help her. Any one using anything else they are willing to share.

There is free guidelines on emuniversity.com or I think AAPC has one coming up that is "how to teach your provider E&M's in under an hour.

The first thing I would do in this case is check your Medicare Carrier, most offer free webinars/teleconferences that review E/M code selection. I would also refer you to the 1995 and 1997 Documentation Guidelines for E/M coding as well.

The guidelines and your Medicare carrier are a great start. Most Medicare carriers will do onsite education/training as well.
