Diagnosis: RSD Lower

Procedure: Transcatheter infusion of an MDA inhibitor and strong sedative.

Intravenous established with 22 gauge catheter then ketamine 65 mg were placed in a piggyback 100 cc container. BP, vital signs taken and patient was given 4 mg of Versed and slowly over 5 minutes, then the ketamine infusion was begun. She was held and observed closely for 45 minutes and then observed for another hour after that in recovery.

Would you use 99148 and 99150?

I'm hoping you are wanting to use those codes for the conscious sedation? Is the patient under the age of 5?? Did you check the primary procedure code to see if conscious sedation is included? What is the code you are going to use for the transcatheter infusion?
