Hello,
Child patient in need of a "Black Bone" MRI w/o contrast of the head for metopic craniosynostosis. This is a new machine and we've not coded this before and I can find little to no information. I know the machine is different and images are better than the standard MRI for this condition. Any help is greatly appreciated. Would I code this as a standard MRI 70540 head w/o contrast with the extra code 76376 for 3D imaging? Or without 3D imaging? Or would this simply be an unlisted code for MRI 76498?
Thank you
