I need some help! One of my Dr's is working with a company that is in the developing stages for the blood test to detect colon CA. He has asked me how or what CPT codes and ICD 9/10 might be the best choice. Since I am a gastro coder, I am at a total loss. I would hope to steer away from unlisted codes CPT codes but since this test is not FDA approved I'm afraid that may be the only choice. I'm thinking anything close to CEA testing may be my only answer. Can anyone advise?
