Patients first pap was abnormal so she is coming in for a re-pap. How do you bill for that and what diagnosis codes are used? Thank-you Kathy Albert

You'd be using the dx code from the path report and I'd advise you to contact the patients carrier because you'll find it varies from carrier to carrier. Some carriers say you should just be billing for the collection of specimen while others say you can bill an office visit.
