doc had removed a frame for limb salvage procedure, had been on for some time. He wants to charge curettage of all pin sites( x7) along with removal of frame. his report states he finds no infection but curettage each site since the frame was on so long, also mentioned some eschar .

Is this billable? and with which code?

Did he remove the ex-fix in the office? If so then its global.

If he did it under general anesthesia then of course thats billable as a staged procedure but as far and the curette of the pin sites, that piece to me, is part of the removal.
