Can anyone help me in coding a rotator cuff repair? My question is in the diagnosis codes. When the MD says there is rotator cuff tear, an infraspinatus and supraspinatus tear. Do you use just 840.4 or do you use 840.4 and the other tear codes? Thank you:)

I usually use 727.61 (nontraumatic), but if you were to use those codes then I would probably use 840.4, 840.6 or 840.5 and 840.3.
