I have a secondary payment. Primary left $21.61 which was billed to secondary insurance. On my secondary remit it shows a payment of $21.61 but then has the OA-253 $1.58 and OA-169 $0.01 but then it shows a net payment of $21.62. I am assuming that the OA-253 amount is supposed to be Medicare (Primary) sequestration amount. However, on my Medicare remit it shows that amount was $1.59. So, my question is are they saying the amount on the Medicare remit was one cent off and I should be posting a -$0.01 as sequestration and then secondary is saying they are covering that cent difference?
