Hello fellow coders,

If your doc gave you these diagnosis codes, what codes and in what order would you list them. This is an infectious disease doctor who saw the patient in the hospital in consultation. I am particularly curious what code you would use for sepsis. Thank you very much, your opinions will help me greatly in a decision I am about to make.

I would need to see the note to know how these diagnosis relate to each other. Is the renal failure an organ dysfunction due to the sepsis ? Is the fever a symptom of the sepsis. Is any of this due to an injury. There are too many questions with just a dx list. You NED to always have a completed nite to code with.
