I bill for an infectious disease specialist who is working at a skilled nursing facility. He was called by another SNF to consult a patient via telehealth. He will continue to consult with the patient via telehealth. He is not the admitting physician.
For the initial telehealth consult, should he reference CPT codes 99307-99310 for subsequent nursing facility care? I know these codes are approved as telehealth and we can bill once every 14 days instead of 30 days.
Or would HCPCS codes G0425-G0427 Initial Inpatient Telehealth Consultations be appropriate since he was called by another physician to help with pts care?
