std/sti testing during annual

hey there,
which std/sti screening is included in an annual gyn if requested no symptoms. say there are extra labs done and even pap if they are not even due for pap, but pap excluded no complaints or symptoms and requesting std/sti testing because maybe a spouse cheated or for whatever reason, could you charge a separate straightforward level mdm with the annual or would that just be included?

As there is no separate code for collecting a Pap specimen (except for Medicare patients), so the collection would be included in the preventive E/M service or E/M service as part of the exam. If std/sti screening tests are ordered, you link them to the ICD10 code that indicates the reason. Simple screening is Z11.3, if the patient is worried due to sexual behavior of a partner you can add Z72.51 as an additional code.
