I would like to know if anyone is billing for their surgical practice the CPT code
77031- stereotatic localization guidance for breast biopsy or needle placement. Our surgeons actually perform this at the hospital using the hospital's equipment. If you are billing this, are you getting paid by Medicare?
If so, how are you coding/billing? Thanks!!
 
I dont code or bill this but thought I would chime in....since this is performed using the hospital's equipment, are you appending the modifier 26 to your code?
