Is there a cpt code for steroid injection of hyoid and cricoid? The doctor is also doing a direct laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy. Surgery has not been done yet, but I'm searching for a code to use to see if it needs prior auth before surgery. I can't find anything so I'm leaning towards an unlisted code but want to check if anyone else has coded for this and what code is used.

As I'm sure you know, it's very hard to come up with CPT codes when you don't have an operative report yet, but just given what you have here, I don't believe there is a code specifically for this type of injection. I suspect you would probably need to use the unlisted code 31599 for this.
