Does CPT codes 99231-99233 for subsequent hospital care include subsequent Observation visits?
One of our doctors billed for the Initial, Discharge and one date in between using 99235 which I know is not right as this is for initial and discharge on the same dos.
Can I use 99231-99233 for the visit in between the initial and discharge?
 
Your "in between" date of service for observation will be your outpatient office visit codes 99211 through 99215 depending on documentation.
