Does anyone have experience with coding for transgender surgeries.

I don't have any experience with Transgender Coding, however AAPC released an interesting article about this subject last June. Look at page 22-24.

Hi There,

The transgender coding we do is done in stages. Diagnostic ICD10 code of F64.1 F64.0 and Z87.810. Usually face reconstruction of smaller chin, cheek es and removal of Adam's apple are CPTs 31574 and 21120. Also the CPT codes of 19300 19020 19030 19316 per doctor's documentation and modifiers add or remove breasts/ The final piece below the belt surgery try CPT 55980 or 57335 of genital revisions.
