Which do you think is the most appropriate code for this procedure?

Next, the patient was placed in a left lateral decubitus
position. A transrectal ultrasound probe was inserted into his
rectum and diagnostic images obtained. This demonstrated a
complex fluid collection in the retrovesical space measuring
approximately 6 cm in maximal dimension. An ultrasound
transrectal guide was used to position a trochar needle into the
transrectal collection. Through the biopsy trochar, a Rosen wire
was coiled in the collection, and loculations were broken up.
Approximately 30 mL of pink serosanguinous fluid was aspirated.
10mL of sterile saline was used to flush the collection and then
removed via aspiration. The probe and trochar were then removed.

Transrectal aspiration

Hey, Dan..
Loved the code you gave to me, but unfortunately it is for females only...cannot use this code for this patient...whom you did not know was a male....
As this is an aspiration without a drainage catheter placed, I was thinking of going with 10160/76942?
Aspiration section states that if there is no site-specific code, then one can go with 10160.
What do you think?
