Hello,
I am looking for some coding help for Watchman procedures. We have tried coding them several different ways using CPT code 33340 Q0 Dx: I48.0, Z00.6, we left off the Q0 modifier, using one diagnosis, both diagnosis and with and without the trial #.. We aren't having any luck getting theses paid by Medicare and other insurances as well. Any suggestions on how to code theses to get them paid ?

What is the denial reason? Do these patients have Medicare advantage plans or not? If advantage plans yes, then you need to bill them. Make sure to append mod 62 if procedure was performed by two co-surgeons.
