I'm trying to find an appropriate diagnosis code for "inspissated secretions within the appendix", this is the reason why the doctor performed appendectomy.
Dr. performed exploratory laparotomy, lysis of adhesions. While inspecting the appendix, there was inspissated stool secretions within it. There was no evidence of active infection, but given the secretions, Dr was concerned about the possible development of appendicitis in the future that's why Dr. proceed with an appendectomy.
Can anybody please give me an insight. Thank you.
