If I have a visit where a patient has their IUD removed (CPT 58301 with diagnosis Z30.432) and also wants to start oral contraceptives (S4993), what diagnosis code should be on the oral contraceptives? If I use Z30.011 (initial encounter for initial prescription of contraceptive pills I have been getting some denials stating these diagnoses (Z30.4xx and Z30.01x) cannot be billed together.
