Hi all,

Would you bill diagnosis code Z38.x or Z00.110 for neonatologist who is billing 99464 or 99465?
 
Sometimes it depends on the insurance payer. We always use Z38.X but there are some payers that want a problem code as the primary code if applicable, like P28.5 or something indicating why the provider was attending the birth.
