Has anyone had success billing Individual psychotherapy and group therapy together on same dos? They are CCI edits, but a modifier is allowed. The group I just started working for is scheduling these on different days due to the edit, but I want to tell them that they will pay if they use a modifier. This would be less hassle for the clients if they could do them on the same date and they are truly separate services.

Any thoughts?

In my experience, modifier 59 on the group therapy code always get paid by commercial insurance.

You would want to try an XE modifier on the Individual Psychotherapy code. This is according to NCCI edits.
