Coding for physician, mix of all payers

For commercial carriers: 29880 you can possibly capture the loose bodies with 29874-59 IF the loose body is NOT in the medial or lateral compartment.

For Medicare: 29880, if loose body is compartment other than medial or lateral then you would report with G0289

Chondroplasty is not codable for either carrier since it was done in the medial and lateral compartments.
