Hello I failed the orthopedic exam once and I'm retaking it in a few weeks. Other than the AAPC practice exam , are there any other good resources for practicing / studying ? Thanks!

When I took it, it focused a lot on spine surgeries- cervical and lumbar. I suggest studying your anatomy and approaches. Also, put a lot of detailed notes in your books and put the lay description next to your codes. Know your modifiers too, such as mod 78, 79. They had a lot of scenarios of patient returning to the operating room. I failed it the first time too because I wasn't able to get to all the questions. I know it seems like a lot of time but it really isn't for all the detailed questions they ask. I brought a medical dictionary for my additional reference and I used it a lot. Don't second guess your first answer because they try to trick you at times. Good luck.
