Our providers have started postpartum rounds that include discharge visits, and they are not affiliated with the delivering provider. (many of the deliveries are emergent)
What diagnosis code should they be using for the discharge service charge? This visit isn't part of a global charge and they don't have a contract with the delivering provider.
Any help is appreciated.

Z39.2 would be the best code since this is routine follow-up at discharge, not care for a problem related to the birth.
