How would you code a ganglion of Walther (impar) block?
MD dictated in op report that using fluroscopic guidance spinal needle was advanced through the sacrococcygeal joint to lie just anterior to the sacrococcygeal juction.
Would this be coded 64520 with 77003 or????

Ganglion impar (Walther's ganglion) is not anatomically the same location as the lumbar sympathetic plexus. It is located anterior to the coccyx. Per the Sept 2007 CPT Assistant, code 64999 should be reported for a ganglion impar injection.
