indication for surgery: left renal stone
preoperative diagnosis: same
postoperative diagnosis: same
operation: Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy >2cm, renal endoscopy with stone extraction, antegrade nephrostogram, nephrostomy tube exchange
No assistant
anesthesia: general
estimate blood loss: <60cc
no findings
no specimen
no complications
Please help on how to code (CPT codes with modifier) this properly. Thank you so much!

You will not learn anything by asking someone else to code the procedure for you. Have a go at coding it yourself then others can chime in to guide you as to where you were correct or not correct and give you reasons why it is coded a certain way.

It doesn't matter if you mess up.....at least you tried.

Thank you SO much for your response! I should have put what I thought. I am so sorry. This is what I am thinking.

1. 50081
2. 50580
3. 50570
4. 50389

N20.0 (fingers crossed) :)

I question the "no findings, no specimen" yet a renal stone was found and you have a renal endoscopy. At the least the stone should prompt a "finding" listed.
