Smarter searches without the hassle

Make the new AI-powered search your default option and leave your typo worries behind. Codify by AAPC’s new AI-powered Smart Search doesn’t get confused by spelling mistakes or require specific keywords to find accurate codes.

This means faster code searches. Smart Search is integrated directly into your usual Codify workflow, so you can begin using it right away.

Step-by-step: How to use Smart Search

To start using Smart Search, open Codify and follow these steps:

Step 1:
Enter a phrase in the Codify search bar and click the magnifying glass or press [enter]. As shown below, we used the misspelled search phrase “mycardial infractino LCX.”

Step 2:
Click the tab for AI-powered Smart Search when the results page opens.

Step 3:
The menu on the left displays how many results were found and allows you to narrow the search to the code set(s) you need. We narrowed our search to just ICD-10-CM codes.

Supported code sets

Smart Search is available for:

• CPT^®

• HCPCS Level II

• ICD-10-CM

• ICD-10-PCS

Access to code details depends on the codes included in your Codify package.

Make Smart Search your default

Codify’s previous search function is still available with results on the Codes tab. But if you prefer improved searches using Smart Search, you can make it your default search option.

In Codify’s top menu, select My Codify/Set Search Settings. Scroll down to Default Search Tab and select Smart Search. Then, click Save Your Settings.
