Unveiling the Impact of 2023 E/M Changes

Video

The American Medical Association (AMA) implemented significant changes to the E/M documentation and coding guidelines in 2021 with the aim to reduce administrative burden on healthcare providers while enhancing the accuracy and clarity of E/M coding. However, initial results indicated a notable shift toward under-coded services.

It has been six months since the introduction of the 2023 E/M guideline changes and it’s time to assess their impact. AAPC Services conducted an extensive review of 500+ providers and analyzed a total of 5000 multi-specialty claims. In this webinar, we’ll explore the results of the review and learn:

  • The E/M services that experienced the most pronounced over-coding and those presenting the greatest opportunities for improvement.

  • Top 5 reasons for errors and how to avoid the most common pitfalls.

  • The impact of the latest E/M changes on accuracy and reimbursement.

  • Actionable takeaways to ensure accurate and optimal reimbursement for your E/M services.

Please note, this webinar has not been approved for AAPC CEU credit.
