Archived Medical Coding Credentials

We are constantly looking for ways to better serve our members and meet their needs. In doing so we often must make changes. In reviewing the current list of credentials that are offered we have found that fewer members are electing to obtain the following six credentials. There is a significant recurring annual cost to maintain the study materials and examinations, considering this finding it has been decided that instead of continuing to invest in maintaining the study materials and examinations, for each of these, we have decided to focus exclusively on the CEU offerings. As of May 8, 2017, new exam registrants will no longer be able to test for these credentials:

  • CCPC –Chiropractic
  • CPRC – Plastic and Reconstructive
  • CSFAC – Foot and Ankle
  • CENTC – Otolaryngology
  • CIMC – Internal Medicine
  • CPC-P – Payer

What this means for you:

  • You still hold every certification you have earned. We’re not taking away anything from these credentials’ successful examinees.
  • Your CEU requirements are unchanged. Again, our focus with these six credentials will be entirely on maintaining ample appropriate continuing education.
