Who should enroll?

This course is designed for anyone interested in becoming a medical biller or building their skillset (and resume) to include medical billing.

Education and experience requirements

  • Two years of experience in the healthcare field and have a solid foundation of knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology 

  • Or Fundamentals of Medicine - our live, virtual instructor-led course that covers all three of the prerequisites below. 

  • Or Anatomy (self-paced instruction), Medical Terminology (self-paced instruction), and Pathophysiology (self-paced instruction).

CEUs

40 CEUs received upon successful completion of course. One-time use only. Must be AAPC certified prior to enrollment for CEUs to apply.

Course format

Offered as both a virtual instructor-led course and an online self-paced instruction course.

Course length

  • Instructor-led: 16-weeks from start date to completion. New courses start throughout the year. 

  • Self-paced instruction: Accessible for 6 months. Enrollment begins at date of purchase. Monthly course extensions may be purchased through the life of the course.
