Understanding the Audit Process From A to Z

Auditing can be a daunting task to someone starting out in the field. In this workshop we will start from the beginning of the audit process and follow it all the way through to the end. We will discuss how to set up an audit program, select an appropriate sample to audit, and how to present the audit findings to the provider. We’ll also discuss what happens after an audit. Finally, we will take a look at several case examples and audit them together.

  • How to set up an appropriate audit timeline
  • How to select a valid sample of charts
  • How to perform the audit
  • How to review the audit
  • How to prep and present the audit to the provider
  • How to follow up once the audit is complete
