Hello, I am trying to figure out the best way to capture middle-of-the-night work being done by the Neurosurgeon. He is being called for chart reviews, etc late at night by the Emergency room doctors and he is giving recommendations. He does see the patient for a face to face consult the next day or so later. Sometimes the patient is d/c before he can see them. He does document everything, but I am having trouble with the CPT codes. The ones I have found so far are:

99358,99359 - These are not recognized by Medicare, but seem the most appropriate.

G0316 - Medicare code, but only covers when done on same DOS.

99446-99452 -These only apply if patient is d/c and not seen by doctor face to face within 7 days.

Does anyone on here bill for Docs/Specialists who do this type of work?
