If you don't already have two years of health care experience, we recommend starting with the essentials.
This is what we call our courses that help you grasp the basics, which includes anatomy, medical terminology, and pathophysiology.
Next, if you want to become a medical coder, we recommend asking yourself, which type of medical coding do I want to do? The answer to this will help you know which certification to work towards.
Consider one of our four main core certifications, the CPC, COC, CIC, and the CRC.
Or if you want to become a medical biller, look into the CPB.
Once you know which certification you want to earn, we recommend taking the corresponding exam preparation course. For example, typically, coders want to earn the CPC first, so they take the CPC preparation course. This ensures they're fully prepared to ace the CPC certification exam. Still have questions?
