How can I ensure my Zoom meeting is secure?
Some chapters have experienced unauthorized users taking over screen-share and displaying inappropriate content. Our IT team is investigating. In the meantime, please consider the following:
Turn on the Waiting Room under Host Tools. This lets the host control who enters the meeting.
Turn off participant screen sharing under Host Tools > Share. The host can allow the speaker to share their screen when needed.
Turn off Rename Self under Host Tools. This prevents participants from changing their name to the host or speaker’s name.
Once everyone has joined, use Host Tools > Lock Meeting to prevent anyone else from joining.
If someone joins who should not be there, open the participant list, click the three dots next to their name, and select Remove. You can also select Report to report the person to Zoom.
