What does a healthcare compliance officer do?

A healthcare compliance officer is responsible for ensuring that a healthcare organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Some of their duties include conducting audits, providing education and training to employees, and monitoring changes in regulations. Overall, their primary role is to promote a culture of compliance within an organization.

How much does a CPCO make in the United States?

The median income for a certified professional compliance officer in the US is $81,495. Factors that affect a healthcare compliance officer’s salary include location, years of experience, employer type, and what kind of certifications they hold — as well as how many.

How do you become a certified professional compliance officer?

If you want to become a certified professional compliance officer, you should complete the CPCO training course so you can gain all the knowledge and skills needed for the role — and be ready to pass the certification exam. Once you pass the CPCO exam, you’ll become a certified professional compliance officer (CPCO), which will show employers you’re ready for the job.

How easy is the CPCO exam?
