5 Scenarios for Critical Care Coding Webinar

Learn more about this event

Does your note fit one of these five scenarios?

The five examples loosely represent most of the scenarios you would see in Critical Care Billing. This webinar should help you in identifying your services as critical care or not. Make sure you are billing and capturing all of the dollars your provider deserves for the services being provided to patients. Are the procedures your provider is performing bundled into Critical Care or are they separately billable? Don’t miss opportunities for billing and leave dollars on the table! Lastly, although there are no specific guidelines for what needs to be in a Critical Care note, don’t forget the level of intensity needed and of course, medical necessity...both need to be shown in the documentation.

We will be discussing:

-Diagnosis coding – how important is specificity in a payment analysis
-Documentation – what needs to be in your note – what MUST be in your critical care note
-Just because the patient is in ICU doesn’t make it critical care
-Non-Physician Practitioners – what role do your NP’s and PA’s have in providing and billing for Critical Care
-Teaching physicians – what role do your interns, residents and fellows have in providing and billing for Critical care
