Learn more about this event
Neonates and children have a metabolism and anatomy that are in many ways significantly different from adults. As a result, some codes are specific pediatric patients. Using adult codes for children, or children codes for adults, may lead to negative results in an audit. This session will explain the differences in anatomy and pathophysiology in children vs adults, and illustrate how coding may differ as a result.
