Learn anesthesia from a clinical and coders view, understanding the required elements that should be documented and understood in anesthesia care. How to recognize the difference in anesthesia techniques as well as types of anesthesia, which can often be confusing and misunderstood. In this presentation we review and present a visual video of the different types of anesthesia as well as patient positioning and how it can sometimes lead to field avoidance.
You will also learn how to spot clues that can indicate one lung ventilation as well as view a video demonstrating how one lung ventilation is achieved. We will review the anesthesia care teams so that coders can identify the providers involved in a service and how those services should be reported.

Marcy has over 40 years in the field of anesthesia, department, billing, coding, auditing, presenting, and consulting, 20 years owner of billing agency, administrator for multi practices.
Dr. Laura McNeill has over 25 years in private anesthesia practice, currently working at AGH and presenting to the residents.

Her medical consulting company provides a full suite of services, with a concentration in auditing and quality and extends to practice management review, and office policy creation. She has written articles for AAPC and has presented webinars for AAPC and DecisionHealth.
