Planning for the future just got more important to us all with the proposed regulations for MIPS/MACRA. It’s now more important than ever that we get the coding right as it has been determined that our 2017 claims data will be used for determining payments and decisions for 2019 plans. That means we only have a few short months to bring our practices up-to-date. Many have stated that denials due to unspecified codes have reached record highs, in addition if we don’t correctly capture the specificity needed to combat that we have the added pressure of the new regulations.

Learning the changes before they go into effect is paramount to navigating changes that may be needed prior to the October launch date and getting the best claims data out of our systems.

Overview:

  • Highlights from the 1400+ new codes that will take effect in October
  • How the new/revised/deleted codes will change your current coding paradigms
  • How revenue cycle and claims data will affect our future plans
  • Key steps for preparing your practice for MIPS/MACRA through diagnostic coding and CDI
