Amy Pritchett

Amy is a Manager, HCC Coding/Audit and Education Services with Pinnacle Enterprise Risk Consulting Services with more than 20 years of medical billing and coding experience. Her high-level auditing skills encompass both facility and professional fee services. Specializing in revenue cycle management, inpatient/OP/OBS/ANC/ED/SDS, her broad expertise includes RAC reviews, charge master reviews, inpatient MS-DRGs and APR-DRGs, outpatient coding assessments, and clinical documentation improvement. Having managed large coding departments and teams, Pritchett is an exceptional leader and trainer. She brings to Pinnacle vast experience and talent that can transform entire coding departments and achieve improved performance, quality, and accuracy. She is also exceptional at locating areas for improvement and developing processes that address specific issues to maximize individual and team potential. Prior to Pinnacle, she held several director, management, and lead educator positions, where she was responsible for facility coding, auditing, and review, P/L, revenue cycle, and the managing of pro-fee audit for specialty clients including physician evaluation and management leveling. Pritchett was also responsible for the oversight of hundreds of coders and multiple locations, where she provided staff with ongoing training. She is a certified ICD-10-CM/PCS instructor and serves as an adjunct professor of medical billing and coding within the University of South Alabama Medical Billing and Coding program, where she has taught for seven years. In addition, she has had several speaking engagements with AAPC. She also volunteers several nights a week with Volunteers of America, where she teaches medical coding and billing in a program created for local members of the community.

Amy Smith

Amy is a Director of Internal Audit for Bon Secours Mercy Health, an integrated multi-state Catholic health system based in Cincinnati, OH. Amy leads a team that performs revenue cycle / coding / documentation / billing audits and data analytics for the entire system. Since earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Business with concentrations in Finance from The College of William and Mary in Virginia, Amy has spent most of her career in healthcare finance and audit and now has over 27 years of experience in the industry. She is a frequent speaker at the regional and national levels and has authored several articles for various professional journals. In addition to AAPC, Amy is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Association for Healthcare Internal Auditors, for which she serves on the Board of Directors and the Editorial Board. She is also currently the President of her local AAPC chapter. She is an avid W&M Tribe sports fan, an active leader on the local alumni board, a former Special Olympics swim coach, and a lifelong swimmer. She is a proud dachshund mom and is a native and current resident of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

Angela has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She served as Region 5 representative on AAPC's National Advisory Board from 2013-2015 and as the member relations officer from 2015-2018. Clements has extensive experience in multi-specialty coding, documentation, and auditing. She’s also a frequent speaker at local medical managers’ meetings, as well as other AAPC local chapters in her region.

Christine Hall

Christine Hall is the CEO and senior consultant for Stirling Global Solutions, LLC. She has a degree in health information management and sociology, along with 30-plus years of healthcare administration and information management experience. She is chairwoman of AAPC’s Billing Advisory Committee, a skilled educator, and a national public speaker. Hall has a strong core in compliance, ethics and regulatory affairs, revenue cycle management, coding, credentialing, and practice management. She is a subject matter expert in specialty coding, risk adjustment, telehealth, and reimbursement. Hall has had the pleasure of working with many of the gold star standard organizations in healthcare such as AAPC, AHIMA, and various national medical associations and societies. She serves as the education officer of the Palm Beach, Florida local chapter.

Colleen Gianatasio has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of the business of healthcare. In her current role, she is responsible for provider engagement and clinical documentation improvement for accurate coding. Gianatasio specializes in developing innovative coding curricula and instruction to support compliance with federal guidelines and appropriate reimbursement processes. She enjoys teaching a variety of coding, documentation, and auditing classes, and is president of the 2022-2024 AAPC National Advisory Board.

Jaci Kipreos

Jaci Kipreos has been in the field of medical coding and auditing for over 30 years and received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Virginia Tech. She has worked in a variety of practice settings and has expertise in coding for family practice, urgent care, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, and Medicare’s teaching physician guidelines, with an emphasis on compliance with evaluation and management guidelines. Kipreos has been an instructor for various AAPC workshops for the past 10 years and is a frequent speaker at AAPC’s national and regional HEALTHCON conferences. She has also provided presentations for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners state event in Virginia and the national event for the American Association of Medical Assistants. Kipreos is a past president of the Richmond and Charlottesville, Va., local chapters, and served as president of AAPC’s National Advisory Board from 2015 to 2018.

Kathleen has over 11 years of experience in provider and payer organizations. She is currently the Manager of Risk Adjustment Quality Assurance for CDPHP, where she oversees all aspects of the risk adjustment audit program while also providing education to internal and external partners. Prior to her shift to risk adjustment, Spaulding held a leadership position in professional billing for a large teaching hospital system. She enjoys coaching coders and recently became a certified AAPC instructor to further that goal. Spaulding is the 2023 education officer for the Albany, N.Y., local chapter.

Lori Cox

Lori Cox has over 25 years of experience working in the business side of healthcare. She began her career in patient accounts and then moved into billing and coding for a multispecialty clinic. She was eventually promoted to billing supervisor and then to compliance officer, where she wrote, maintained, and trained employees and providers on fraud and abuse. Currently, Cox works for AAPC Services as Director of Client Engagement, performing audits and education for clients across the U.S. She has spoken at HEALTHCON and regional conferences and has traveled the country educating coders and physicians on complex coding topics such as hem/onc and E/M guidelines. Cox is the past member relations officer for AAPC’s National Advisory Board.

Rhonda Buckholtz has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, working in the management, reimbursement, billing, and coding sectors, in addition to being an instructor. Sandy Giangreco Brown

Sandra works full time for an auditing firm where she manages and develops relationships with clients, coding staff, and providers, providing them with auditing services and educational sessions. She has more than 35 years of experience in healthcare and medical records management, coding, auditing, and compliance in the hospital, outpatient, and physician settings. Brown loves presenting and sharing education and continues to teach both nationally and locally, including teaching courses for AAPC. Her areas of specialty include ob-gyn, general surgery, cardiology, anesthesia, E/M, oncology, and radiology coding. Brown does regional and national presentations regularly for groups such as AHIMA, WHIMA, CHIMA, NCHIMA, HCCA, and AAPC.

Stephani Scott has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry working closely with physicians and staff in Health Information Management. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care, large multispecialty physician practice, and EHR software design and development. Scott was a part owner of a consulting company for many years providing services in best practices for physician practice management services including coding and documentation audits, compliance, and revenue cycle management. She has extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient auditing and coding compliance. Throughout her career, Scott has enjoyed teaching E/M coding, compliance, and EMR utilization to many physicians and staff locally and nationally.

Stephanie Sjogren

Stephanie Sjogren is a director of coding and provider reimbursement, working with payment integrity to ensure proper claims adjudication and to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. Prior to joining Connecticare/Emblem Health, she performed provider audits and education at a women’s healthcare group. Sjogren has also worked with physicians and staff to integrate and use electronic health record systems effectively and to stay in compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ rules and regulations. Her areas of specialty are E/M, auditing, and clinical documentation improvement. Sjogren previously served as an officer for the Hartford, Conn., local chapter.

Todd is the managing director for Medical Audit Resource Services, Inc, an HMA Company.  He graduated from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1980 and worked in several local emergency departments until he opened his company, Medical Audit Resource Services.
